Preparing Learners for Life

At Fountains, we believe every young person deserves the best start for their future. Our careers curriculum is designed to help learners build independence, confidence, and real-world skills at every stage of their journey.

•  Inclusive and Practical – Activities are varied, hands-on and tailored to individual needs.
• Aligned with the Stoke and Staffordshire CEC SEND Curriculum – Ensuring our approach meets local and national standards for learners with SEND.
• Aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks – Providing a stable, high-quality careers programme.

What Learners Experience

Key Stage 3 – Supported exploration through MyFutures lessons, enterprise projects and employer encounters.

Key Stage 4 – Workplace visits, work experience, vocational projects, and planning for next steps.

Key Stage 5 – Real-world work experience, volunteering, and vocational qualifications to prepare for adulthood.

Working Together

We work closely with learners and their families so that everyone has a good awareness of future options, including further education, supported internships, and employment. Every learner receives personalised careers guidance adapted to their needs.
