Celebrating Rees Hughes – Volunteer of the Year
We are delighted to share some wonderful feedback from Rosliston Forestry Centre about one of our students, Rees Hughes. Rees has been volunteering at the centre for almost two years, attending two sessions each month and showing exceptional dedication to his role.
Over time, Rees has grown in confidence and responsibility, recently stepping into a mentoring role to support new volunteers joining the team. His commitment, positive attitude, and willingness to help others have made a real impact.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Rees has been awarded ‘Volunteer of the Year’ by Rosliston Forestry Centre - a fantastic achievement that reflects his hard work and character.
Volunteering and work experience play a vital role in developing independence, confidence, and real-world skills. Rees’ journey is a brilliant example of how these opportunities can empower our students and strengthen our links with the wider community.
