Potting Shed

Welcome to The Potting Shed – A Special Garden Project

The Potting Shed is a lovely garden space based in Stapenhill Cemetery. It’s a joint project with East Staffordshire County Council and is run by our amazing Post 16 students.

When is it open?

The Potting Shed is open to the public three days a week:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

What do our students do?

Our students help run the garden centre. They:

• Plant and care for flowers and plants
• Keep the garden tidy and looking great
• Get plants ready to sell
• Look after the money and make sure the till is ready
• Keep the shop area clean and welcoming

What do they learn?

Students work towards an East Staffordshire Horticulture qualification. This helps them learn useful skills for future jobs, such as:

• Gardening and plant care
• Handling money
• Working as a team
• Talking to customers
• Being responsible and organised

This project helps students build confidence, learn new things, and get ready for the world of work in a fun and supportive way.
